this isn’t an exaggeration — the SAFE act is going to devastate much of what’s left of american science. this is extremely urgent. 202-224-3121 capitol switchboard
If the SAFE Research Act makes it through reconciliation, my lab won’t be the only one that has to shut down - every scientist you know could be out of a job. There has never been an attack on science at this scale in history. Call your Senator TODAY: no SAFE Research Act in the NDAA. Please share ‼️

more good work from Rep Ansari from AZ
Trump is demanding that GOP side with him over Epstein's victims, Rep Ansari tells me. She had a harrowing exchange with one victim who recounts how her mom had cancer and he exploited that.

Also note her mockery of network disclaimers on Trump. More like this, Ds:

NIH scientist Dr. Jenna Norton was just placed on nondisciplinary leave.

She led a team who wrote a sign-on letter critical of The Regime.

A person at NIH asked to give a reason for her leave called her “radical leftist”; while the NIH Director has claimed that “dissent is productive”.

While ASU continues to offer LGBTQ+ programming through academic degrees and community groups, it’s also sending mixed signals about its willingness to capitulate to the Trump administration’s demands.

you could fact check this — there aren’t 30 million illegal immigrants and there is no evidence that the presence of an immigrant in say houston has any impact on housing in madison, wisconsin — or you could note straightforwardly that this is just nazi rhetoric
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

This is actual gender-based discrimination, privileging one man’s fragile “virtue” above a woman’s right to work.

In this toxic mindset, women are seen as “temptations,” not equals, in a world where “professionalism is impossible and where men’s paranoia dictates women’s access to opportunity.”
Imagine thinking working alone with a woman is a moral crisis.
