Too often when discussing trans rights, we’re forced to be on the defensive, as Republicans wage attacks.

Today, we take the opportunity to look forward by introducing my Trans Bill of Rights, a comprehensive vision to provide protections for all trans and nonbinary people.

This is the second account - the first being in Chicago - of DHS agents mass detaining people and then *sorting them by race*.
More than 400 people, including hundreds of citizens, were “sorted” at gun point into racial and ethnic groups by 200 ICE agents who fired flash-bang grenades into cars with people inside, pointed guns at children & demanded their zip tied parents not comfort them. apple.news/Ausdx6kWtT0e...

It is 8:30 p.m. in Minnesota & I don't know about you, but I am tired.

Did you get enough food today? Are you drinking enough water? If you take meds, have you taken them?

Maybe it's time to take a break (even from this place) & relax if you can. Watch or read or listen to something fun. 💜

yeah, it's fascinating how Christians seem to see Jesus as having "freed" people from the burden of observing Shabbat

but like, most Jews LIKE observing Shabbat? it's a day of rest

then Christians went and made blue laws and all kinds of oppressive rules about what you can't do on Sunday anyway
(I don't have any particular gripe with this post)

The interesting thing is that it seems to be largely Christians who view Torah as an imposition, while Jews see it as a source of identity and a labor of love.
This Sunday, our readings invite us to consider God’s laws and true wisdom. Our attitude may depend on whether we respond to God’s law of love, or see it only as a legal imposition.

To say "imperialism has nothing to do with the situation in Cuba right now" when the U.S., in Monroe Doctrine fashion, kidnapped Maduro and is choking off the supply of oil from Venezuela and Mexico, is a deeply unserious take. Feels very yanqui coded.
In the current emergency, no it doesn't and if you said this to Cubans right now, with no income, no water, no power, they would rightly spit on you.
