It goes even beyond this, mobile games need to be updated almost yearly otherwise they're removed form the stores, unity/xcode/os updates break pipelines, teams are hired for development and apparently now regularly fired if profits don't soar. It's cold and exhausting😔

if someone is offering you a brand deal and the payment is in product or in a percentage of sales from your affiliate link you are being scammed into doing free or essentially free advertisement btw don't accept anything that isn't paid in actual cash.
