I’ve enjoyed drag kings here or there but I ultimately just think playing with masculinity is less fun than playing with femininity and I think a lot of the potential audience for drag shows simply feels the same way and the explanation for “why are drag kings less in demand” is largely that simple.

Just saw someone trying to argue that the rise of the far right in Germany is only due to racism and queerphobia has nothing to do with it and I’m so tired. Hate crimes are way up, queer people are terrified, homo- and transphobia is explicitly in their party programs, these are CONNECTED ISSUES!
