I think having Gaga be there and having her not center herself and having her respectfully accommodate the vibe and celebrate the music and culture together was a great message about cultural exchange and unity actually.

I also didn’t expect Gaga and I also thought Cardi might get a verse in rather than being essentially a backup dancer (chances are she just didn’t have time to rehearse or joined short term) but I see his vision.

Honestly in those situations I assume it’s either the best of many, many demos that artist could come up with, or if it’s something comically terribly like GNARLY they think there’s meme/TimTok appeal

Just saw someone trying to argue that the rise of the far right in Germany is only due to racism and queerphobia has nothing to do with it and I’m so tired. Hate crimes are way up, queer people are terrified, homo- and transphobia is explicitly in their party programs, these are CONNECTED ISSUES!
