Based on the clips I had seen and the media discourse I thought this show had two white leads so that's my fuckup there but I do think the overall point stands.

I'm not disagreeing! I'm just trying to say we can do a lot more than everything either being two white cis twinks/twunks or a white cis twink/twunk and a mixed cis twink/twunk which seems to be the furthest casting agents are willing to push in most gay media.

Four Seasons was fantastic but 80% of that was straight people drama and the queer characters got to shine in like two episodes. Give us some queer leads who aren't just white cis twinks/twunks and whose story isn't a tragedy.

(And was made on a shoestring budget and not given any kind of promo push because only fans of the 00s series would be interested.)

And I do know that's not ALL there is but let's not act like it isn't the vast majority of the stuff that gets any kind of budget or promotional push. We got a Noah's Arc movie this year which was very very cool but even that was just a nostalgia sequel, not a new story being told.
