You're seething because that woman Liz Cheney voted to impeach Trump, and you know you're supposed to think that was good of her, but you think it is 'cringe' and you can't explain why.

(It is because you are a mass-produced 4chan sexist shitposter at heart and can't be anything more)

This super sweet female young cat was found in Bushwick. She's currently staying on a terrace because the cats living in that house are not very friendly, and she is looking for either a foster or a forever home. If anyone can help, please send me a DM

This is intriguing but I still think that voters are, at the moment, assigning "progressive" and "moderate" to "willing to fight" and "prone to cowering" as opposed to making ideological or policy commitments. Would love to be wrong, but either way I'm pleased.

So uh.

I've spent the last five years working on a book about grief, mourning, who is allowed to grieve and how, and where we go from here, and...

What's interesting here, though, is that when they're asked about their favorite Democrats, some of these same people listed Buttigieg, Newsom, and Mikie Sherrill, so that means those Democrats are getting coded as "progressive," too.

I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow to hopefully get a formal diagnosis for both POTS & EDS, along with potentially MCAS.

Does anyone who has gone through this have any advice or resource recommendations? I’m worried I won’t be taken seriously about my symptoms.

Reposts appreciated, thanks.
Writing through stress while I interview for jobs & negotiate with a company to not lose my house.

Recovering after two weeks of strep throat; I learned I have POTS & EDS. Jury’s still out on MCAS.

Creating art restores me even though my health is on the ropes. Mulling over this quote as I type.

I’ve been thinking along similar lines—that for anyone who is set on a 2028 bid, saying so now, aggressively and definitively—holds a lot of upside.

Normie Dems are desperate for a standard-bearer, not least because the median Dem hates Chuck Schumer. Give them one.
from the perspective of someone who might want to be president, the best time to run for the white house is now, not later. so if AOC is thinking about it — if the white house is her ambition — then her best bet is to throw her hat in the ring
You Know What? Maybe the Time Is Right for an AOC Presidential Bid
She’s only 36, and there’s a good argument that she should run for Senate and bide her time. But she also could be a formidable White House candidate.

Progressives: “Sure, we were completely wrong that improving the station of working-class people would result in electoral gains, but that’s just because, on a deeper level, we were correct that everyone is furious about wealth inequality”

America: *elects a billionaire backed by Elon Musk*
Can we please stop with this argument?

It wasn’t a “vibecession,” it was people seeing how comparatively better the wealthy were doing than they were. It always comes back to the wealth gap and the fact that productivity gains have disproportionately flowed upward.
Allow me to suggest that lying to yourself about what actually happened - the working class did great 2021-24 - is a great way to keep walking into the same traps!!

This is a wonderful piece of reportage and data-illustration by @jacobbogage.bsky.social in battered WaPo.

-See @timothynoah.bsky.social's ongoing work on this theme, eg newrepublic.com/article/2042...

-Seeing our shrunken, barely-there print Sunday WaPo was poignant, artifact from "before."

The Mommy Party is always responsible for cleaning up the Daddy Party's mess. Failure to do so because Daddy beat her too hard to remain upright is Mommy's fault for being too shrill and annoying. This too is gender.

this may be the single most insufferable thing about the radical centrist caucus - not just extending good faith to obviously bad faith people but demanding everyone else do the same and chiding them when they don’t
A lot of our political discourse would be easier if we didn't extend good faith to people who would never extend it back.

more addressing the other site than anything I've seen here, but Zohran never once promised to spearhead a class-struggle mayoralty or be absolute in his anti-zionism and if the DSA left was going to condition their support on such they should have said so instead of claiming his victory as theirs
