95 percent

That's...

I can't think of anything 95 percent of the public agrees on, when it comes to policy.
🚨 The UK government just published a breakdown of the responses to its consultation on AI & copyright:

- 95% of respondents want AI companies to pay for their training data (made up of 88% saying strengthen copyright law, & 7% saying leave it as is)

This argument is not only continuing in my texts, but getting more spicy as it goes—people are now making a point to bring up interpreters’ ethical obligations
I was invited to a groupchat for federal court certified interpreters, very exciting, and now every day I wake up to 30 new messages arguing about the best way to render ‘pretrial services.’

2° outside and my furnace quit working today. and I am trying to get it fixed but I need $125 which I definitely do not have. We have heated mattress pads and lots of duvets, but I more worried about my pipes at this point. If you're able to help out, it is always appreciated.

You’ll never convince me that everyone doesn’t love stickers, so I got a huge number of post-its and sticky page-markers and colored dots for everyone’s stockings

My sister has a strict BYOSS (stocking stuffers) policy for any adult spending Christmas at her house, so I just swung by Daiso to stock up.

You are allowed to dump your own toiletries kit into a sock and call it a day, so long as you act surprised and delighted to find it on Xmas morning

Reviews are great! Also, tell everyone you know about books you have enjoyed. People are more likely to buy a book vouched for by someone they know, so tell your friends and family and social media followers!
"I can't afford to support my favorite author right now, I—"

Reviews.

Reviews are free AND they are a gift to authors that can keep on giving (i.e., exposure, marketing, algo boosts, etc.)

Please, give the gift of reviews to your authors this holiday season. It really can make a difference!

Learned today that “Galápagos” comes from a Spanish word for tortoise, meaning that “Galápagos Tortoise” is,

in fact,

a tortology

This is what representatives should be doing.

Those with the least power, need the greatest protection.
Today, I spoke with Kilmar Abrego Garcia and his wife, Jennifer. In April, when I met with him in El Salvador, Trump said he would never set foot in the U.S. again.

This case has never been about one man alone; if the govt can violate the constitutional rights of one, all our rights are threatened.

Guys there isn’t a billionaire I’m not willing to strip of their wealth. Even if they’re doing things with their money I like.
Nonetheless, I'm willing to strip billionaires of all their wealth to allow them to shine.

If Democrats are going to keep acting as if the average American still wants ICE around, maaaan ....

I think there's 42 states in play if somebody promises to eradicate ICE completely and leave every single one of these grimdark facesock motherfuckers chained to the wall in Alcatraz's basement

These freaks are all, Republican and Democrat both, convinced that there's a huge pool of voters out there eager to die in agony in order to fuck over trans people.

That despite very clear evidence this does not actually win elections, every campaign has to chase this bigot block.

Tomorrow the 11th, there will be a markup on various "child safety" bills

This is part of the process where they are debated and amended before moving forward

It is a good idea to make some rep calls TODAY and make it clear which bills are currently unacceptable and why
#savespeech #stopKOSA

ATTENTION! The House of Energy and Commerce has pushed a package of(now 18) "child safety" bills to a subcommittee markup.

This means the bills will be likely voted on to go to a FULL committee markup, which sends it out to the House.

Call the Committee. Tell them to vote NO
