Today I got a mysterious text from my brother asking if I’d be home, and this afternoon I got some calls and texts from an unknown number that turned out to be a delivery person. So I ran downstairs and was handed these from my brother and his gf!

I want to have a beautiful Natural History display instead of just a bunch of cool rocks and fossils sitting on a shelf, so yesterday I prototyped a frame for this handsome trilobite

I’m working through my mending pile (and my sister’s mending, and my mom’s) and trying to clear the WIP backlog, but yesterday I said screw it, I’m starting on the display for my Natural History shelf out of order. And I did!

There were so many interesting mushrooms everywhere in the woods today! A great day to stomp around in the underbrush, get spiderwebs in my mouth, and fill my socks with pine needles

I finished tatting the skull doily after idk how many attempts and false starts, and I love it! I tacked it onto a Costco sweater and it’s now my fave piece of seasonal attire

The skull doily project continues. I don’t remember which attempt number this is, but it’s my neatest one yet and one of these days I’m going to actually finish one!

@mostlybree.kitrocha.com You know that croissant sourdough idea that took over bread Insta for a minute? Last night I grated half a stick of cold butter and added most of it to my focaccia dough during the stretch and folds. Melted the rest over the top before dimpling, and it’s SO GOOD

Update: I’m in the middle of a translation project so I don’t have endless time for art projects right now, but I did remind myself how to tat
