I just left messages for Gillibrand and Jeffries and wrote a message to Schumer's office (yes, 2/3rd of my pols are literally the two minority leaders, WHAT FUN) and if my lazy ass can do it, so can you.
Dems managed to get a 2-week delay on the DHS bill, so CALL YOUR SENATORS AND YOUR REPRESENTATIVE EVERY DAY FOR THE NEXT 14 DAYS. Tell them you want ICE, CBP and all the rest of it defunded and dismantled. Tell them you will be voting against anyone who doesn't do this. This is our chance.

Look, I was in awe of Minnesotans long before this—I once spent three days in Minneapolis in the winter and thought I was gonna die—but truly they are heroic. And their heroicism stems simply from actually giving a shit and doing something about it.
I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

I get people's fury at Democrats who don't speak up (or don't speak up enough) about Minneapolis, or Venezuela, or any one of the hundreds of horrors that are happening to us by the day.
