Let's make a #ShadowCabinet. I'd nominate Katie Porter, Health. Pete, Transportation plus general dot connecting. AOC house speaker. Imagine Jasmine Crockett at Justice. Bernie at commerce. Where should Booker be? Who would you like to see where? New voices?
Every one should see this.

Wondering about the 9 remaining. There were 9 Nazgul, right?
BREAKING: 8 more U.S. Attorneys in MN resign from Trump’s DOJ in protest as backlash grows.
This isn’t normal; isn’t routine reshuffling. It’s a rebellion.
Last month, 6 veteran prosecutors quit in protest. Normal staffing for the MN DOJ’s office is around 50 attorneys. They’re down to just 9.

It’s been 8 days and we still don’t know the names of the men who murdered Alex Pretti.

DHS must be abolished. No ICE. No palantir surveillance police state.

There’s no “fixing” a sociopathic agency designed to trample on our freedoms.

A new statement from Epstein survivors:

"Once again, survivors are having their names and identifying information exposed, while the men who abused us remain hidden and protected. That is outrageous."

You hold the arsonist(s) accountable AFTER the fire is out.

But listen to me. Look at me:

You *Have* To Hold The Arsonists Accountable.
Seeing a lot of “But they don’t deserve…” And no, of course they don’t. What the fuck does that have to do with anything? The house is on fire. Pass a bucket to whoever wants to put it out. You can remind them what an ass they’ve been later.

The head of NIH bans science journalists from attending events they had every right to participate.

Do I need to say what this is or can we still do 2+2 censorship math?

Too many scientists were too willing to give podcast Jay the benefit of the doubt, when he is a dark money client propagandist.
I'm at the Willard Hotel where I've been denied entry and kicked out of the Reclaiming Science event with NIH director Bhattacharya & other top agency leaders.

@jocelynkaiser.bsky.social and I registered for the event months ago yet were told capacity was full, even as they let in dozens of others.

That's a hilarious proposition for a novel right there. (And do closely read the job posting. I skimmed the first time and didn't achieve maximum hilarity until I re-read.)
Should I apply for this and absolutely fuck up the training

Amid growing calls for the abolition of ICE, Rep. Delia Ramirez is calling for the entire DHS to be dismantled. Highlighting how much experience the officers who killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti had, Ramirez said, “DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity.”
House Democrat Says Abolishing ICE Isn’t Enough — DHS Must Go, Too
“The problem isn’t ‘training.’ DHS was built to violate our rights,” said Rep. Delia C. Ramirez.

Perry: Abolish ICE? How about DHS altogether.
"We have models for how to structure federal immigration oversight that doesn't rely on an unaccountable masked secret police force running rampant in our streets," David M. Perry writes.

Simply put, this is unacceptable. The entire agency is rotten to the core. There is no reforming or retraining a culture of lawlessness, there is only uprooting every part of it and then trying something different.

Call your senators and demand they abolish and prosecute ICE and the DHS
Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told:

DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big)
CBP stays at border
warrants for arrests
IDs, bodycams
ICE out of churches, schools

"That package unites a lot of Dems," Sen Chris Murphy tells me on the pod:

i hate fox with all my soul but i think thats a dangerous path. we cant give govt the power to determine what is and isnt legitimate media/news. we can out shout fox, starve it of oxygen but i have no interest in a world where the govt tells me what media is allowed to exist.
A longer term question, but I don't see how the right wing propaganda structure that creates panics and pogroms is the same thing as a free press. Something needs to be done about liars that prompt crimes against humanity
