The irony is chilling: a man who exposed a concentration camp is now imprisoned in one himself. If Guan Heng is sent back to China, there's no doubt he will be imprisoned for a very long time or worse. Hopefully, he has a good asylum lawyer.🤞
In late 2020 a Chinese man called Guan Heng travelled to Xinjiang with our BuzzFeed map of detention facilities to provide ground truth for our work - he provided the first corroborating evidence for many sites.
He escaped to the US - then ICE detained him.

Replace “Dems” for “mainstream parties” and “GOP” for “far right” and you have West European politics.
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Wenn man es offenbar bisher nicht schafft, gegen betrügerische Werbung vorzugehen - was ein Armutszeugnis ist! -, dann muss man doch wenigstens dafür sorgen, dass sich das nicht auch noch rentiert. Ultima Ratio: Gewinnabschöpfung. So schnell werden wir nicht gucken können, wie #Meta dann handelt.
Es ist so ein großes Problem: Meta geht nicht streng genug gegen betrügerische Werbung vor & verdiente allein im letzten Jahr 16 Milliarden Dollar (!) mittels unseriöser Werbung zu Scams oder illegalen Produkten
