March 7th, 2026 is about more than standing up for science...it's scientist standing up for DEMOCRACY!

Democracy cannot thrive when a paramilitary force being used against civilians, extremist ideology abounds, and science is censored and used against the public.

Trump's DOJ has arrested Don Lemon for doing journalism, while the goons who killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti in broad daylight continue to walk the streets.

This is America under fascism.

Jesus Christ. The "pivot" lasted about 15 minutes.

Arresting a black journalist under the Ku Klux Klan Act for covering a pro-immigration protest at a Christian nationalist church led by an ICE officer is the perfect encapsulation of this administration's authoritarianism, racism, and trolling.

I’m sorry, does this say they arrested one of America’s most famous journalists at the Grammys?

🧵There is a certain level of mutual trust involved in direct action. I'm not otg in MSP, and I'm not in the coordination chats. People who are in those chats apparently decided that you violated that level of trust and placed people at risk through your actions. You aren't entitled to involvement

One. PB first, wipe on the remaining clean slice of bread, then J.
I just found out that my spouse makes a PB&J sandwich using the same knife for both toppings, instead of one knife for each separate container.

We've been married for over 16 years. I cannot believe I just discovered this NOW.

Is it 1 knife or 2 when making PB&J? Chime in!

Democrats are the worst etc etc etc but actually this deal seem kind of smart in that it isolates DHS in 2 weeks while still funding air traffic control?

The system works because there is incredible power in having huge numbers of people do something that would be dangerous and hopeless if we did it alone. There are so many more of us than them. Risk can't be reduced to zero, but it can be distributed across a network too vast to reliably persecute.

Degeneration into self-parody. Make things that are already illegal...uh...illegal?

Like, if this was "do not detain anyone with an active legal process" or "do not detain citizens" I could understand it (as one demand of presumably MANY MORE)

But like...WHAT
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Thursday said House Democrats will demand a ban on the deportation of American citizens as a condition of winning their support for legislation funding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

I did a ridealong today. Journalists and observers have common cause in tracking and documenting federal immigration activity in the Twin Cities — doing it as a group is the safest, most efficient way
I would really appreciate if journalists who have done ridealongs would speak up about how important they are to helping Minneapolis. As I’ve said many times, opsec fears are the greatest threat to the networks we’ve built. But the reason we’re out here is to show the world what’s happening.
Ridiculous. @chrislhayes.bsky.social did a ride-along that was played on @ms.now last night - the piece threatened nothing and was good 'publicity' for the cause. Hopefully they'll come around for you, Will. Thanks for what you're doing for our city & state.

Never ever ever ever ever ever surrender the microphone. Restricting press is meaningless as long as we drive our own cars with our own bodies, they keep safe in the same way we do for our own.
I’m not totally sure how to address this but apparently I’m getting kicked out of ICE rapid response for the moment because I’m allowing press ridealongs, with an extremely strict condition that no other observer be identified. Lots of observers have allowed ridealongs and they benefit us.

This is a huge mistake. What Will and others are doing is showing the country how to effectively resist ICE and showing the world that Americans are fighting back. Kicking Will out is bad opsec, bad policy, bad politics. Grow the movement and tell the story. Don't gatekeep.
