*slaps roof of fit* I can fit so many national correspondents in this bad boy
what's amazing about the fit is that it's built like a tardis: small lean look but inside it's gigantic. friends hauled me and others all over taiwan and it was very comfy.
There’s like a random piece hanging off the Fit now too. Starting to look a little bit Road Warrior

In this long post in Hebrew, Moshe Ya'alon, Israel's Defense Minister from 2013 to 2016, compares the ideology of the Israeli right to Nazi racial ideology. His words, not mine.

Under the IHRA definition of antisemitism, this makes Israel's former Defense Minister antisemitic. x.com/bogie_yaalon...

No one asked me to stop ridealongs. They aren’t about “clout,” they’re about getting our story out. Real reporters pose little danger, especially compared to our core activity (chasing armed officers in our personal cars). As many can attest, I have tried hard to pass ridealongs to other observers.

insisting on calling every mass day of protest or one-day boycott a "general strike" is not the move. it's good to see people rallying around the cause, it matters, but if you want to be part of a large-scale labor action that shuts down the gears of capital, start by unionizing your workplace!!!

the arrest of journalists in minneapolis, including don lemon, is more evidence that the only move the administration knows how to make is to use force, and does not know how to respond when that force is met with defiance and indifference.

TL includes back to back posts that directly contract each other and then one post down, a reminder from NYT that the govt uses tech to recognize and ID everyone. Very hard to process.

Let me reiterate: THEY DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH GUYS TO PERSECUTE LARGE NUMBERS OF DISSENTERS. What they are doing, instead, is using fear and paranoia as a force multiplier: they don’t have to persecute us if we keep ourselves home because someone told us we can’t walk in public without being terrified.

I’m so glad you went. I had many people ask me - “is it safe? Should I leave my phone and ID at home? Do I need an exit strategy?”

We’re building this bizarre and paranoid civic culture based almost entirely on miasmatic online fear endlessly feeding itself. Selma marchers didn’t even mask!
Online security theater posting made me really afraid about having my phone or showing my face before going to a no kings protest and then when I got there it was a great time and my mom was taking pictures of everything lol. I felt ridiculous because I almost didn’t go people made it sound so risky

Even if you're confident that a case won't stand -- and Lemon's case likely (hopefully) won't -- getting arrested by federal authorities is expensive and traumatic. It'll blow up your life, even if the charges don't stick.

That's absolutely intimidating.

Going to mildly dissent to @pbump.com here.

I'm a freelance journalist who covers protests. And I'm absolutely intimidated by Lemon's arrest.

Will it stop or deter me? No.

But it's certainly chilling.
The thing about this is that I don’t know a single journalist who will be intimidated by Don Lemon being arrested?

But, then, that’s not why the administration is doing this. The founders couldn’t have imagined a president violating core freedoms for the purposes of social-media accolades.

Free Don Lemon!
This just in: "Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy awards," Lemon's attorney Abbe Lowell says.

My position on L'affaire d'Stancil is that if you don't want to work with someone who submits himself humbly as a contributor to the work, then turns around and uses his considerable platform to evangelize for the cause in a way that constantly decenters himself, you aren't serious about the work.

Judge Schiltz says Lemon and his producer “were not protestors at all; instead, they were a journalist and his producer. There is no evidence that those two engaged in any criminal behavior or conspired to do so.”

March 7th, 2026 is about more than standing up for science...it's scientist standing up for DEMOCRACY!

Democracy cannot thrive when a paramilitary force being used against civilians, extremist ideology abounds, and science is censored and used against the public.

Jesus Christ. The "pivot" lasted about 15 minutes.

Arresting a black journalist under the Ku Klux Klan Act for covering a pro-immigration protest at a Christian nationalist church led by an ICE officer is the perfect encapsulation of this administration's authoritarianism, racism, and trolling.

One. PB first, wipe on the remaining clean slice of bread, then J.
I just found out that my spouse makes a PB&J sandwich using the same knife for both toppings, instead of one knife for each separate container.

We've been married for over 16 years. I cannot believe I just discovered this NOW.

Is it 1 knife or 2 when making PB&J? Chime in!
