All I can think upon seeing this is how ITCHY it would be to have all those little feathery bits brushing against your skin. I would come unglued.

4am on the day I can sleep in because I only have to go to work for an hour today, and the batteries die in the smoke detector. Now I'm wide awake.

Q: It’s starting to sound like underage women are children. What’s the difference between underage women and children?

A: Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

We're having a potluck to make up for not getting paid, so I made foccacia. The first is just sea salt, since we're having jambalaya and chili; the other is a half-batch to use the last of my flour and has Trader Joe's cinnamon roll spread inside with thinly sliced apples and cinnamon sugar on top.

Hey folks, my wife was laid off unexpectedly. We depend on her income with my own.

We are crunching numbers, but it's grim.

Not sure how we'll make it through November, let alone think about December.

You can help here, but we understand everyone is struggling too. <3

We paused while giving out candy tonight (aka left the bowls full at the sidewalk) to stroll around the block, where some folks drove by and declared us the best costumes of 2025. Plague doctors were a success.

At least 500 people have been murdered in El Fasher in Sudan by the RSF, and it is likely (per very reputable people I know) that the actual death toll will be far higher.

Absolutely nightmarish situation.

Just watched Sleepaway Camp so I could listen to this episode of How Did This Get Made? and I was not prepared for the sheer amount of pedophilia and rape vibes for a movie that YouTube censored to hell and back. Really should have been, given it was made in the 80s.

If we can sell between 5,000 and 10,000 copies of OMENS OF CHAOS, we will debut comfortably on the New York Times Bestseller list, which is a very normal thing for a book to want (and will send a very clear message about what we want as a community). We won't, but a girl can dream.

Have a kid, they said; it's good for you. Ok, so far, so good.

Get the kid in sports, they said; it's good for them. Sure, right up until they get serious about it, and you're staring down the barrel of how to make chicken, vegetables, and a grain taste good at least five times in a single week.

Look, I'm not evil, per se, but I will absolutely consistently cheer on the underdog in #SEC matchups for the sheer chaos. The only exceptions are my teams and Vanderbilt (because those folks have earned their time in the rankings through literally decades of generational football trauma).

Yep! Women started sci-fi, the tech that became wifi, computer programming, ice cream makers, windshield wipers, the material for bulletproof vests, and so, SO much more. (PS: For more overlooked inventors, thank Black Americans for air conditioning, blood banks, traffic lights, and the cell phone.)
Women started fandom. Women started fanfic. Women started star Trek cons. Women invented beer, and the novel, while we're at it. Stop trying to erase women from spaces, you stupid, lazy, misogynistic fucks.
