Reminder that Tom Cotton has been described as "probably the worst, most dangerous vet currently occupying a seat in the United States Congress."

Q: What did you see in the second strike?

Cotton: "I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat -- loaded with drugs, bound for the United States -- back over, so they could stay in the fight."

4. As a de facto SGE with substantial authority, the Foreign Emoluments Clause of the Constitution prohibits Kushner from accepting “any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”
Kushner’s Moscow mission wasn’t just corrupt. It was unconstitutional.
Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, has been traveling the world to participate in high-stakes foreign policy negotiations on behalf of the president.

3. Kushner is engaged in activities that can ONLY be conducted by government officials. The Logan Act bars private citizens from engaging in negotiations w/foreign governments w/o authorization. Kushner is acting under Trump’s direction, and that creates a host of legal issues.

2. Kushner is trying to evade legal restrictions by not accepting a formal role in the administration.

But the DOJ is clear: It's not what you SAY, it's what you DO

Kushner is acting like a Special Government Employee so legally, he's a SGE

1. Jared Kushner's trip to Moscow yesterday was not just unethical; it was illegal.

You cannot accept tens of millions of dollars from foreign governments and simultaneously conduct high-level diplomacy for the federal government.

It says it right in the Constitution.

Imagine if Senate and House Dems made a criminal referral to DOJ over Kushner’s corrupt involvement in these negotiations.

"So much money is being earmarked to put your neighbors into camps, to abuse protesters, to line the pockets of thieves, and worse. Every part of that that gets blocked is a win."
I wrote about how no one knows for sure what's going to end this nightmare, but the possibilities are expanding, and we can help them along. Includes some thoughts on the Hola Massacre, the Falklands War, and Watergate (because extrajudicial killing, an unprovoked war, and presidential impeachment).
This may be the last time
I don't know exactly what will end Trump. And neither does anyone else.

None of these people should ever be accepted into civilized society ever again.
DHS agents appear to profile 3 Hispanics in a car, aim their guns at them, order them out, arrest 2 without warrants, and then unconstitutionally hold one of them, a US citizen, until she proved her citizenship to them. Why threaten to shoot them?

If we're not at war, Pete Hegseth is a murderer. If we are at war, Pete Hegseth is still a murderer. He's a murderer. And you don't need to go to The Hague to hold him accountable because there are perfectly good, American laws AGAINST MURDER.

Pete Hegseth Should Be Charged With Murder
No matter how you look at the strikes on alleged “drug boats”—as acts of war or attacks on civilians—Hegseth has committed a crime and should be prosecuted.

One of the reasons I think it’s also essential to not call the boat strikes “war crimes” but “crimes against humanity,” is that it emphasizes that Trump and Hegseth are acting extra-constitutionally and are not entitled to any shield from the courts. This systematic murder of civilians is illegal.

You know, apropos of nothing in particular, and although I haven't researched it yet, I strongly suspect that a president starting a foreign war to distract from his extensive ties with child sex traffickers is probably a high crime or misdemeanor under the Constitution's impeachment clauses.

Thing is, we DID hear about it at his confirmation hearing.

Every single senator who voted to confirm Hegseth knew he held these views about the laws of war.

They voted to confirm him anyway.
Everyone should read this terrifying thread about Hegseth’s published views wrt war crimes. It’s pretty fucking radical …. We needed to hear about this in his confirmation hearing.
A chapter in Hegseth’s book is literally titled “More Lethality, Less Lawyers.”

It’s almost as if there were signs!

It shows how badly afraid of him his staff are, that no one has the courage to say to him, "boss, that's not how the math works."
