I saw a post saying that ICE is pausing its tip line, so I decided to call myself to verify.

The recorded voicemail said they are not currently accepting immigration status tips.

Good job, friends.

A bunch of losers went out and threw Nazi salutes in Alberta, Canada yesterday while holding racist signs.

Might be time for the media to stop calling them “hand gestures” and start reporting on this big fucking problem for what it is!

I haven’t yet really been feeling the rage or the fear. It’s kind of just…numbness. It’s all too big to take in at the moment. I kind of laugh when I look at the news sometimes, like…really? That too? Okay, lol, guess this is how we live now

New from me: a judge has approved a class action for Indigenous students integrated into a Bonnyville school in the 60s & 70s.

“They were subjected to, really, all the same things that they would have experienced in residential school, plus the endemic discrimination from the all-white school.”

Yes, recovery beds for youth are needed. Involuntarily placing them in a young offender’s is NOT a good idea.
the ucp's new youth recovery centre is going to be built inside an existing prison for young people. it will be directly next to the edmonton remand centre, canada's largest prison.
