Not at all surprised to learn that Bad Bunny has a historical adviser. His halftime show was a reminder that our history and culture are deeply intertwined with the rest of the western hemisphere. We should think of his performance as part of #America250. #SuperBowl

Pop star Bad Bunny needed a Puerto Rican history scholar. UW–Madison had just the one.
Bad Bunny collaborated with UW–Madison history professor Jorell Meléndez-Badillo on Puerto Rican narratives that accompany the new album “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.”

The 2016 and 2025 World Series are the most emotionally invested I’ve ever been in big sports events. Maybe that’ll happen again in my life but if not, I’m glad I had those ones.

That was a spectacular halftime show and I don’t even speak Spanish and probably missed most of the references.

Possibly the weirdest pattern I’ve seen, so I obviously needed the histomap dress from Svaha. It’s 4000 years of world history on a dress.

Local woman wakes up, plans an alternate Super Bowl halftime show (just for the fucko buckos, everyone else can watch Bad Bunny) that has a few hundred 6 year olds playing the star spangled banner on recorders for 20 minutes, makes oatmeal.

Regarding Washington Post letting go of a third of its staff this is what PP and the Conservatives want to happen to CBC. They want to ghettoize the news to make the mainstream landscape the mouthpiece for Conservatism ripe with misinformation

This is awful news, Fobazi's work was so impactful in the library community. May she rest in power.

I got yelled at last year when I said JK Rowling and Neil Gaiman were equally shitty people and I feel no satisfaction in having that belief further confirmed, just more disgust for them both.
