They’re a very cool ambient Icelandic band who would definitely pair well with an orchestra … but yeah that’s too much money.

Yeah sports and big arena concerts are completely nuts - I haven’t been to a big arena show since before the pandemic and we did go to the women’s hockey this year but those tickets were under 100.

I didn’t go, our only option was 4-500 for two tickets, I have seen them twice, but never with an orchestra.

I’m game for a few hundred dollars if it’s a festival but then you have a whole weekend of music. Anything more than 100ish seems like too much for one band.

Kate Bush is awesome.

That's for two tickets, they were $200+, not counting taxes. I saw Sigur Ros last at Osheaga in Montreal (so that was expensive ish but a full weekend of music) about 10 years ago and then in 2001 in Vancouver for maybe $50 (but probably less). They are an epic band who don't tour very often.

We went to see Jeremy Dutcher at the Winspear (in Edmonton, an amazing venue) for $100-ish in Oct 2023, so this ridonc ticket pricing seems very recent.

Yeah there were some available today for $200+ but that's still too much for a concert. I think I paid about $50 to see them in Vancouver in 2001-ish.

It didn't happen but oh well, the universe will reward me next time an Icelandic band is in Edmonton performing with the orchestra :) We could've bought tickets today but it would've been $500 for 2 tickets and I'm sorry but as a 1990s groupie, that is too much for a concert.

Same. But sadly not enough to pay 400-1000 for two tickets to see them tonight, as I have seen them before (but never with an orchestra)
