I, for one, am shocked that the right-wing Tribune Editorial Board endorsed the candidate furthest to the right in the race.
UPDATE!!! The Tribune Editorial Board endorsed the AlPAC candidate in my race partially because she left the IL progressive caucus because she supports unconditional military aid to Israel.

An update: she supposedly just had her yacht's port logs fully whiped from the internet (History of where the boat went for it's entire life) and the transmitter is completely off with the logs previously showing she went to every island AROUND Epstein's

This is really what I want people to appreciate. I get that it feels good to be like "well that person's a pedophile too!" But in many cases they weren't. They were just people who didn't think it was a big deal. That's terrible in its own particular way.
I'm worried that the broader public isn't really understanding the Epstein Files. The problem isn't that everyone in the files is a secret pedophile, it's that all the people are corresponding with him because they *don't care that he's a pedophile*. It's a story of elite impunity.
You can look at the Epstein files and conclude that only bad people have billions of dollars, but I think it’s also possible that having billions of dollars cauterizes your humanity

Back when I heard Wayne La Pierre speak at Mount Holyoke College in 2001 (and go off about immigrants, feminist women, and single mothers), it was crystal clear to teen-aged me that the whole organization was just an opportunity to push shit that had nothing to do with guns.
The last 50 years of the NRA was just a giant con by the right?
Jeanine Pirro declared on Fox that if anyone brings "a gun into the District, you mark my words, you're going to jail. I don't care if you have a license in another district and I don't care if you're a law-abiding gun owner somewhere else."

The indictment of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers revealed that they had a cache of weapons, entered the Capitol in military formation, and were prepared to harm lawmakers. They were all pardoned and no doubt many of them are now in ICE

Making it make sense: Epstein wasn't a global mastermind. He did not orchestrate a vast conspiracy that led us to today.
He was a very rich man with connections to other very rich men. The shared culture of these men is that they have a right to dominate and abuse others without consequence.
