Centrist waffle doesn't appeal to people. Showing that you care about something, that you want to make people's lives better, that you will listen to them and use your position to do it, and unifying "minor" issues under a coherent story about your principles and goals REALLY APPEALS TO PEOPLE

Something positive for once, my 3d WIP the 'Van der Linde' class First-Rate Ship of the Line from my sci fi trilogy concept is coming along well! Still a bunch of detailing to do, but it's already significantly more detailed than any of my old work!

Then I genuinely beg of you, by all means BE clear and specific on this issue instead of offering broad wishy-washy statements about decisions in care and having staffers send email replies that characterise an attack on the trans community as "distract[ing] from the Government's economic failures."
No, we're very clear that the right people to make decisions a on health care are the person (patient), their medical carers, and in some cars depending on the age of the patient, their parents, guardians or caregivers.

Elon Musk donated $277 million to Trump so he could steal the federal government’s data, dismantle the nation’s infrastructure, and stop foreign aid from going to nonwhite people. It’s a quid pro quo breathtaking in scope, corruption, and damage, & completely unprecedented in American history.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

Hipkins jumped on bluesky after a 2month break to support Winston Peters here

Has so far refused to do the same to support the trans community in the face of destructive and, frankly, fatal policy that NZF and National delivered this week

Really showing his, and Labour's, priorities
The attack on Winston Peters home today was totally unacceptable. MPs homes are not the place to protest. No matter the cause, political violence is never ok and should be condemned. Free speech is healthy in a democracy, political violence is not.

Honestly. Whenever I hear someone claim that Socialism doesn't work, or is somehow worse than the Capitalist system that's choking us to death, I know that I can safely disregard anything else they have to say.

Their voice becomes that of an adult in a Peanuts special, though, which is always fun.

Again, it would be nice if Labour MPs would dare to actually mention trans people in these statements. I suppose I should be thankful they're bothering to say anything, but come on, it's insulting that they can't name us when talking about policies that affect only us.
Doctors and parents should make decisions about what it best for their kids' health - not politicians.

I feel like the last couple decades of "is representation good or not?" discourse missed more important questions of "how fragile is representation?", "what do we do when multiple industries eliminate it as an intentional move against us?" and "how can we sustain queer artists when shit goes south?"

🕯 Today we pause to remember the trans people whose lives were taken by violence this year. Those lost to hatred, and those lost to the unbearable weight of living in a world that too often refuses to see their worth.

We hold every name and every story in our hearts.
