Something positive for once, my 3d WIP the 'Van der Linde' class First-Rate Ship of the Line from my sci fi trilogy concept is coming along well! Still a bunch of detailing to do, but it's already significantly more detailed than any of my old work!

Found an old animation scene I had abandoned without finishing in 2020, but one I could tidy up and finish quickly. After fixing materials with broken file paths from the old computer, all I've changed is I've added engine plumes.

My garb for Spring Camp this weekend as Lady Winifred of Flundrepool is done!
Started off with 'Arcane,' following the H.S.S. Arcane, which then got rebooted including the idea of a follow-up of an Alliance whose starships had a different look but the prefix A.S.V. Then I got inspired by 'Battlestar Galactica' to do a new version, 'Ross 248' which got renamed 'Morgan.'

aaaaaaaaaaaaaand now I'm doing stuff like mocking up a basic idea of what Acidalian naval uniforms look like in HeroForge (using protagonist Francis Morgan as a model there from cabin girl to Commander) and fleshing out an entire history for this thing.

@thesojourn.bsky.social inspired me to go back to my old sci-fi idea with a more Age of Sail bend so now I'm off making a personal wiki to document all my new spaceship stuff. This means it's an actual Project now.

Watching #TheChase before the news, the answer they want here is the Vulcans BUT all answers are correct because as established in TNG S6E20 "The Chase" (oh the irony!) and in S5 of Discovery all humanoid life in the galaxy is related by the genetic template of the Progenitors.
