honestly I’m more surprised at the speed and cravenness of the “fell for it again” industrial complex today than I thought I’d be. I dunno, I knew there’d be americans that suck, I don’t think I’m telling any tales out of school there, I just didn’t expect it at this scale. I hate it, personally.

Reminder that almost a quarter century ago, Schumer voted for the Hague Invasion Act, declaring that the US would militarily invade the Hague were it ever to be prosecuted by ICC for war crimes.
Biden did too, it was an overwhelmingly bipartisan agreement to be unaccountable to international law.

Whenever I correctly point out that there is no opposition party in US politics, the usual suspects swarm to screech about Dems having no power. If these folks are correct (they are not), then they should BUILD POWER. They aren't doing that.

wild to me that journalists got so scared of being called “liberal media” that they spent my entire adult life dismantling their own industry, reputation, and personal moral compasses. now journalism is an explicit arm of corporate fascism and they’re STILL scared of “having lefty bias” accusations.

I feel like, as a kid, cartoons made a whole lot of promises regarding how many cool punk girls would be doing drugs in the local arcade or school bathroom that they really couldn’t keep.
