Trump has imposed sanctions on 8 ICC judges and 3 prosecutors. “The sanctioned ICC staff,” Reuters noted, “now sit on the U.S. Treasury Department’s Specially Designated Nationals list, alongside suspected al Qaeda terrorists, Mexican drug traffickers and North Korean arms dealers.” wapo.st/3MsWi3c

Trump is apparently worried the ICC could someday prosecute him or his aides. That’s unlikely. But that this could even be a concern highlights a dispiriting turn of events: The U.S. has gone from siding with the law-abiding nations of the world to standing with the rogue regimes. wapo.st/3MsWi3c

Less than 14% of nearly 400,000 immigrants arrested by ICE in Trump's first year back in the White House had charges or convictions for violent criminal offenses, according to an internal Department of Homeland Security document obtained by CBS News.

The official DHS statistics, which had not been previously reported, provide the most detailed look yet into who ICE has arrested during the Trump administration's crackdown.

Whether seeking to deport migrants without hearings or refusing to spend appropriated funds or unilaterally tearing down the East Wing, Trump has shown scant regard for legal limits on his authority. It’s hardly surprising that he has shown similar indifference to international law. wapo.st/3MsWi3c

Trump seems bent on destroying the very foundations of a rules-based order. He told the New York Times last month, “I don’t need international law.” The only limit on his authority abroad he recognizes is his “own morality.” Given his long record of amorality, that’s scant comfort. wapo.st/3MsWi3c

In attacking the ICC, the Trump administration is in bad company. After Putin was indicted for war crimes in Ukraine, the Kremlin responded by issuing arrest warrants for three ICC officials. wapo.st/3MsWi3c

Trump said, “I don’t need international law.” In a similar vein, Stephen Miller dismissed talk of “international niceties,” insisting that “we live in a world … that is governed by strength, that is governed by force, that is governed by power. Those are the iron laws of the world.” wapo.st/3MsWi3c

👀 What if I told you there was a hidden art gallery scattered across the country?

What if I told you some of its treasures had vanished?

What if I told you that I found them?

This whole story needs to be seen to be believed. The level of grifting is off the charts…
Zach Witkoff worked as a project manager for his father’s property firm, the Witkoff Group, and then co-led his family’s investment firm, Witkoff Capital. “I started at the bottom,” Witkoff said in a 2024 speech introducing his father. “He showed me that success came from hard work, not handouts.”
The younger Witkoff now tours the globe alongside a phalanx of aides with an American flag pinned to his suit jacket…. He sports a Richard Mille timepiece worth half a million dollars on one day, a $250,000 rose-gold Patek Philippe on another. www.wsj.com/finance/curr...
