Intro post
Hi I'm Solatra (nov/nov, dune/dune), generally credited in my game design writing for Pathfinder and Starfinder as Sasha Laranoa Harving (I answer to both).
I organize PFS and SFS events here in Chicago and do what I can to support the queers around me. Follow me if you like Starfinder!

It's a day off. Everyone is taking it easy. No one expects any company announcements or anything. It would be wrong for me to spoil something else about Galactic Ancestries...

Remember those old photos of choking smog hanging over LA and NYC in the 70s? Well get ready for that again
“The U.S. no longer has emission standards of any meaning,” said Margo T. Oge, who served as the E.P.A.’s top vehicle emissions regulator under three presidents and has since advised both automakers and environmental groups…

“Nothing. Zero,” she added. “Not many countries have zero.”

The average rent in Wellesley, MA is $4200/mo
Opponents say it's about saving a forest but it's the same old NIMBYism: "Ultimately, many residents simply don’t want a big housing development there ... And that a large apartment complex would be out of character in a suburban neighborhood known for larger single-family homes."
The state wants to build housing on a parking lot in Wellesley. Residents are up in arms. - The Boston Globe
A proposal to build apartments near MassBay Community College has sparked  a local backlash, illustrating how housing can be immensely complicated in Massachusetts.

The term "Daredevil" dates back to 1767. Before then we also had terms like "kill-devil" or "sell-soul" with similar vibes.

Fighter is from 1809.

Animist, Kineticist, Occultist & Psychic are from the 1870s.

Gunslinger is from 1916.

Almost every other class is 15th century.

In incredible news, the European Parliament has voted overwhelmingly for "The Full Recognition Of Trans Women As Women."

Even the center-right European People's Party voted for the declaration.

It will form a foundation for their position at the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

Our latest.
European Parliament Votes Overwhelmingly For "The Full Recognition Of Trans Women As Women"
The resolution, though nonbinding, is a significant shot at those who seek to erode transgender rights on the continent.

"Sure, ICE is bad, but we need to deport illegal immigrants"

No you don't.

If immigration enforcement leads to concentration camps and roving death squads, maybe it's time to just get rid of the concept of illegal immigration entirely. You've tried it, it's a bad idea in practice, so bin it.

Reminder that when the government says “If we prosecute everyone involved the system will collapse” it is an admission of guilt and an admission that the entire government is corrupt to the point of criminality and prosecution.
