You may laugh, but the Macbeths are a much better role model for a marriage than Romeo and Juliet. They discuss their problems (killing the king of Scotland), share their hobbies (killing the king of Scotland), and resolve their conflicts (by killing the king of Scotland).

it’s so funny watching people debase themselves by publicly committing their vote to Newsom 2.5 years before the election and spending their days attacking anyone online who voices hesitancy all while Gavin’s like “welcome to my podcast, today’s guest Mr. Steve Bannon, let’s find some common ground”

Similar to Newsom, Starmer was outwardly an ally - even walked in Pride 2022 - but within a year, he had reversed all trans rights positions. Now, Labour are dismantling all trans rights in healthcare, schools, public life.

When people show you who they are, trans people tend to believe them.

if we keep telling people to hold their nose, they're gonna fucking asphyxiate. if you can't learn how to deal with human emotions driving their actions, then you're only going to have plans similar to a sociopath.
February 13, 2026 at 10:45 PM
and i bring up the songs for dementia patients because when i first heard about them i only heard about the AI generated ones that have their name. and immediately got angry upon finding out that actual people used to write those! with custom lyrics! these patients got real love and care once!
February 13, 2026 at 10:45 PM
it's a lack of empathy in political analysis that i also see driving the AI push. ignore what people feel, if the goal cannot be achieved then it's Your Fault that your human emotions got in the way. that fucking sucks!!
February 13, 2026 at 10:45 PM
writing this and then suddenly remembering the custom songs for people with dementia that used to be written by people and are now AI slop and thinking, yeah, people just forgot that humans have emotions. and that you can't wave those away, we're not perfect machines, we feel stuff!
you are seeing this purely from a strategic view of winning at all costs, and i need you to come down to a a tactical level: if you do not win over the people being harmed by the other side by convincing them that your side won't harm them, you don't get their votes. emotion *will* decide for them.

There's dumb propaganda today about "we haven't written any code by ourselves for months." While a human may not have written it, a human probably had to review it!

Code reviews are time-consuming and hard even for human code, much less weird slop that doesn't follow style guides or best practices.
February 13, 2026 at 10:33 PM
its wild that so many people that did write code are clamoring to be glorified slop code reviewers. i do code reviews as a part of my job, but if that was the only part of my job i'd fucking hate it!

jeff, i need you to understand that this is the issue with the political analysis that happens after each election. it's entirely an analysis of "we lost, who didn't vote for us" and not one of "*why* did we lose their vote". to ignore the why is extremely dangerous for future elections.

I would love to play Virtual Hydlide with golfers. I said before I would love a variant on Virtual Hydlide as a clunky 3D action RPG that took place on a golf course where golf clubs were your weapons, fighting old rich guys armed with entitlement and caddies with ennui.

if i were a political scientist at georgia state university and a candidate said "i don't believe political scientists at GSU should use public restrooms, it makes people feel weird", i'd probably be pissed at that guy!

mind addressing the trans aspect of it? i don't think i would be willing to vote for someone that would want me out of public life if i were in those shoes!

“What toilet? What are they talking WAIT WHAT”
It's hard to grasp how large this grouper is until you see it in comparison to the ship's toilet on the left.

This appears to be an Atlantic goliath grouper or 'itajara' (Epinephelus itajara). They can reach 800 lbs (350 kg) & 8 feet long (2.5 m)

Let's talk about these gentle giants.

I truly wish the “blue no matter who” contingent would just shut up until after the primary and let people who want a better candidate call for one in peace instead of screaming about how we all need to slobber daddy newsom’s hog before he’s declared or else we’re somehow fascist.
