My gut says the ideal tax and spending system is probably more regressive than what we have when you look at taxes alone (carbon tax, VAT) but more progressive when you look at redistributive effects (dividends, universal healthcare, public transit). I have no clue how you sell this.

We should keep the British monarchy around until we get some openly Queer royals. If the Prince adopts is the kid in line? Do they at least get to be a Duke? What about surrogacy? If an enby is on the throne how do they fix the meter of "God Save the Monarch"? Do all the ships go from HMS to TMS?
