Trees are essential in our suburban landscapes. Open lawn in sun vs large tree cover ground temp.
I only have a small patch of lawn the rest is native garden well mulched.

Cannot reccomend this strongly enough. For me personally so many elements of fascism whenever it emerges in the world seem to have a seed in the fossil fuel economy, the outrageous lies of climate denial.

Fighting against fossil fuels = fighting against the tools of fascism.
Wrote myself a pep talk to get back to work tomorrow. It helped me. Hope it helps you.
I don't know how to do this
But I'm going to keep doing it anyway.

This is a thoughtful thread, specifically about the BBC, but equally applies to its Australian equivalent -- and others.

False balance. Using the words of a fascist regime as a primary source, and failing to contextualise. A bitter betrayal of journalism and its consumers.
Thinking about the underlying notion of truth this morning. 🧵
The BBC coverage is absolutely terrible.

It leads on "sharply contested narratives"

It has a dramatic skew to the US government

It has posted the video but has failed to report on what it shows: it shows the US govt account is untrue

I read in one of the gov climate reports (pre-interference) that the MDB'll collapse when Au reaches 2C - will happen faster than people think.

We will also have to get used to domestic migration towards the coast, and the word 'desertification'

Much of the next week will look like this #auspol
