No one deserves the pay packages these guys get, but if you’re getting one you should definitely be able to think far enough ahead to say “Maybe let’s hedge a little just in case the unpopular guy’s narrow win turns out not to augur the beginning of permanent one-party rule.”
Dimon on why JPMorgan Chase is not funding WH Ballroom:
We have an issue, which is anything we do, since we do a lot of contracts with governments here and around the world, we have to be very careful how anything is perceived, and also how the next DOJ is going to deal with it.

I was (and have been) too busy to watch the Flyers lately — did a dude really steal the puck from a Flyer with a torn ACL and two passes later assisted on a goal?! Shit that’s both impressive and pathetic as fuck!
Islanders F Kyle Palmieri will miss 6–8 months while recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL.

Perhaps the best jobs for AI reside in the C-suite. I wonder if they’d lay themselves off 😉
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

It’s merely because they aren’t capable of empathy — only sympathy!
My hot take is that I do not like it when politicians do a thing, particularly if it’s completely unrelated policy, just because It Happened To Me, Personally

You all know where I stand on these issues but I get the same feeling of instant revulsion when someone is suddenly pro gay rights because…

It’s the dumbest argument going. It’s merely an argument for procrastination for the sake of procrastination.
How is going for a 2pt conversion, down 15, turning into an analytics debate? I feel like I'm losing my mind.

You *need* two TDs, and you *need* to have a 2pt conversion in one of those two TDs.

Extending your window of hope doesn't actually help you win the game.

Pretty embarrassing effort. I’m glad they didn’t extend Blankenship, and I hope they’re prepared to fire the offensive coordinator. Nick Sirianni sucks.

Number 24 just got embarrassed trying to tackle Jamo. Was that the same dude who Dallas Goedert posterized in the wildcard round last season? Yes?

I do think someone is going to murder an NFL referee over one of these calls if those guys don’t have ample security coming out of a game.

Watching the game on mute for the holidays (great) but didn’t hear the ruling on the Wicks TD. Was it one foot top equals two bottom of feet?

They’ll never do it but the NFL would be THAT much better if they just eliminated automatic first downs to all defensive penalties.

Decades of watching the Lions play in the early thanksgiving window have lulled me into forgetting that the first game is a major showdown.
