love how you can tell from his singing that he was too mad to waste time fucking around with imagery. like, hmm shall I spend another few days on the lyrics for this one? no, I shall get as many E Streeters as I can to my house to yell "ICE OUT NOW" into a studio mic
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

You should have these anyway - admin is never fun and especially not this, but it's so much kinder to your loved ones to do it yourself, instead of kicking it over to them when they will be grieving.

(assuming you have loved ones who will grieve you and you don't want to be unkind to, I guess!)
A grim but practical suggestion: if you’re going out to protest, you should have logistical plans for what your loved ones should do if you get critically injured or die

Advanced directives, wills, etc.

This would be a devastating/traumatic time to leave them with a million difficult decisions ❤️‍🩹

You can see the modularity of room sizes in the plans

This is common in Spanish social housing - it allows rooms to be adapted (a dining room turning into an extra bedroom), but also helps reduce build costs by keeping material sizes consistent

We've created the greatest resistance & mutual aid network this country has ever seen in about 6 days. It's so effective that the government has had to ready an arctic military division in an attempt to thwart it. I don't know how that could instill anything but hope. It's -20 but the sun is shining

You know I saw a brilliant piece of public information writing today, a handwritten whiteboard at Pimlico station that read:

FAULTY GATES
google "autocomplete TFL"
Refunds by end of the day

Everyone (at rush hour) looked at it and walked through without stopping to ask staff the same questions

on this january 19, @adamgurri.liberalcurrents.com asks us to remember not the myth, but the man: just another black church leader living under jim crow, 26 years old, when history called and asked him to meet the moment.

now it's our turn.

I realise I'm just a freak, but living in a multicultural city is the best thing of all time, it's just the best possible human experience and i can not understand why anyone on earth would be like "weve got to destroy this"

It's a Wonderful Life is certainly a very humanist, compassionate movie but anyway saying it's somehow 'socialist' has literally reduced 'socialism' to 'rich people bad' which is a case of 'yes but there's more going on here kate'

went to see PLAYBOY OF THE WESTERN WORLD tonight, a play which despite being set in 1906 rural Ireland is very relatable to today's times because I too would murder a close relative for the chance to get with Nicola Coughlan
