new drawing to mark a magical time 🤍🌺🥚 I couldn’t decide which species to draw for this but then saw the news that Wisdom the Laysan albatross - oldest known bird in the world at approx 75 years old - has returned to nest this year and it made my heart soar✨ “Come from way above (to bring me love)”🪽

so thrilled to see a willow tit - the UK’s most threatened resident bird species - yesterday at Pennington Flash. the rain was so heavy that a lot of the reserve was flooded and it would have been so easy to stay home but instead it was one of the most special bird moments of the year for me :’)

my friend Maria made a truly amazing Merry Friendmas dinner for us all last night - the most beautiful cheese board spread, chestnut soup topped with orange zest (from her grandma’s handwritten recipe), excellent roast with mushroom wellington as the centre piece 🧑🎄 (all vegan)
