For the first 15 minutes it looked like Arsenal were going to run up a cricket score against Wolves. Then, as the game went on, they just looked knackered and bereft of ideas. A draw against the worst team in the Premiership is not what champions are made of. The job's fucked, again.

We're always banging on about how 'the internet' has had a huge impact on us, economically and culturally. How about these stats though? Porn site 'OnlyFans' had 378 million users in 2025, more than the population of the US. And those millions spent US$7.2 Billion. Just one (big) porn site!

Hard to imagine that Trump and his 'advisors' didn't anticipate these kinds of economic impacts. Can he really be that dim? Every day, some new idiocy.

Aside: no way I'm going for a night out in any town when the National Guard, US Marines and ICE 'agents' are wandering about.

And that's fine if you have an investment portfolio but, since most Americans don't, it means nothing. Worse, in fact, those non-discretionary expenses like rent, food, fuel, are all going up, so you're experiencing a 'cost of living crisis' as Trump tells everyone the US economy is doing great.
Bondi crashes out over Epstein: "The Dow is over 50,000 dollars! I don't know why you're laughing. You're a great stock trader as I hear, Raskin. The Dow is over 50,000 right now. The S&P at almost 7,000, and the Nasdaq smashing records. That's what we should be talking about."

Apparently the combined investment in A.I. of Alphabet, Microsoft, Meta and Amazon is projected to be $650 Billion this year alone. Moody's projects that $3 trillion will be spent on A.I. infrastructure in the next five years.
What credible business plan could see a return on that spend? None.

In another era, Altman would be selling quack medicines, sideshow bearded ladies and offering to sell you London bridge. I mean 'we basically built Artificial General Intelligence' is just...bullshit.
A profile of Sam Altman, who says "we basically have built AGI, or very close to it" before dialing it back later and calling it "a spiritual statement" (Richard Nieva/Forbes)

It's rare to see how lobbyists operate. But the Epstein-Mandelson correspondence shows us what happens all the time: plutocrats and government ministers conspiring against the public interest. This is why all lobbying should be in the public domain, but despite Labour and Con promises, it's not. 🧵
