I wrote about what I think is a genuinely revealing document of elite depravity and impunity. It is shocking and sickening. But it's also a crucial moment. We're about to see what happens when conspiracy theorists actually get what they asked for but it turns out not to be what they want.
You Really Need to See Epstein’s Birthday Book for Yourself
This time, the conspiracy theorists were right.

They cleaned subways during Covid. Now, they’ll get millions in back pay.

So proud of our team in the @nyccomptroller.bsky.social’s Bureau of Labor Law who won this $3 million settlement on behalf of 450 mostly immigrant workers who risked their safety for ours.

I am almost certain that Booker knows the record and is aiming directly to break it.
Cory Booker has held the Senate floor for 17 hours and 21 minutes.

The record of 24 hours and 18 minutes is held by segregationist Strom Thurmond, who spent that time protesting the Civil Rights Act of 1957.

I am pretty sure Booker would not mind changing that history.

The Catholic Church is objectivly evil, but dammit they have some bops!
Part 1 of my Catholic Hymn Tier List is up! I made mid and high tier available to paid subscribers as a treat for sticking with me through my Mexico hiatus, but the honorable mentions and low tiers are readable by all. Let us pray.

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

In 2025 (less than 30 days away), PayPal will start selling your transaction history for targeted advertising.

I very highly recommend logging into your account and going to Settings > Data & Privacy > Personalized Shopping.

If you're reading this, turn that off RIGHT NOW before you forget.

I don’t think Elon Musk’s tweaked out version of twitter replies deserves the dignity of being called “the discourse” any longer. As Dave is alluding to, Musk controls what is amplified in top replies and also influences who feels at home on that platform. It mostly reflects his personal hatred now.
Elon’s personal anti-trans animus and anger at censorship of anti-trans speech really affected the discourse.
