Would you be upset if the Conservatives sought to ram through sweeping legislation like this? At minimum, are you not concerned that the same powers will be in place if (when) the Conservatives are in power?

Beautiful stained glass windows in Birkenhead library of a scene from Wilfred Owen’s Dulce and Decorum Est
Stained glass is not the preserve of churches and some fascinating examples can be found in secular buildings. These early 20th century examples are from the Governors Parlour in the Merchant Adventurers Hall in York and illustrate international trade. The window

We need beauty more than ever in these trying times.

So the database of beauty is the National Gallery of Canada’s collection of 87000 pieces.

You can search by artist , medium , date , or category. It’s pretty neat.

Search the Collection
Search more than 75,000 works and discover a range of Canadian and European art, renowned photographs, Inuit art, contemporary American art, and more.

Short termist and an alarming trend.
Sickening. Joint honours degrees are the heart of the humanities — much of the best student work I've read has come their fusion of approaches, materials, and ideas.
Apparently, alongside all the other joints we have, it’s been decided that our biggest one - English and History - is to be scrapped, despite it not requiring a single bespoke module and therefore saving £0. Vandalism. Again.

I seem to have upset the Nigel Farage fan club - so let me be clear.

This man sows hate, lies and division.

He is a grifter and a conman.

He does not represent the vast majority of Britons.

Repost if you agree

P.s. multiculturalism is great.

It's official policy.

All this talk about tariffs and shrinking the labor force through mass deportation just doesn’t make economical sense. I’ve been trying to wrap my head around why a US President would want to hurt the US economy. So I asked Chat GPT exactly that, and the results check out and are chilling:🧵
