Dog lover, Economist, accidental IR wonk. I occasionally write things you should read. Alt-center. Don't take me too seriously, I don't.
This is the kind of thing, that when it fails to generate a meaningful ROI and they pull the plug will be the harbinger of a large scale AI sell off.
Exclusive: Walmart is testing ads in its new AI shopping agent, Sparky. The effort could lead to the monetization of chat experiences, which are expected to transform the way people shop.

I am no less queer because I'm an economist, we've been doing this discourse for a week now and i'm getting piss fucking tired of it. I don't have to hand in my queer card because i don't fit your particular flavor of leftism. bsky.app/profile/sky....
Something I’ve commented before is this site in particular has a sort of funhouse mirror “model minority” thing going on where if I don’t check all the boxes that someone wants I’m somehow “not really queer”, like, bite me.
I am allowed to believe things like “free markets generally maximize welfare outcomes” without surrendering my queerness and it’s frankly deeply insulting to say I’m not who I am because eg. I have an Econ degree. Even the fash on Twitter don’t go that far (granted, they’re just calling me slurs…)

It turns out turning the presidents pet eunuch and his band of unbathed virgin dorks lose on every system of the US government was a huge waste of time, money and human capital, to say nothing of the privacy sand security risk.

Your periodic reminder that David (ball)Sacks is one of the dumbest people alive and should almost never be listened to.

the current administration has basically put the entire economy all in on AI. So when, not if, it deflates just remember it’s dorks like David that get to take the blame.
when its definitely not a hostage situation

You know, nazis suck in every timeline but I’m particularly annoyed that we got the dumbest fucking variant.
Fed Governor Stephen Miran: "Cutting down net migration to 0, potentially even negative because of the deportations that have been occurring, I think is very deflationary."

The “Vance would be worse” people are just doom addicted terminally online dorks.

Vance doesn’t have command of the base. He’s not the cult leader, he’s not “daddy” he’s the creepy cousin with weird friends and an obsession with upholstery.

Another thing this email trove has convinced me of is that NYT has been actively and consciously helping Trump since 2015. It wasn't just casual sexism, double standards, and political reporting Kayfabe. They were doing catch and kill

What’s honestly more shocking is that Wolff didn’t just blurt it out.

No one is more impressed with Michael Wolffs access than Micheal Wolff
In my opinion, one of the biggest revelations from the Epstein-Trump emails is that Michael Wolff -- who calls himself a journalist -- acted as a publicist and PR crisis manager for the most notorious sexual predator in recent memory.

And he did this for YEARS!

Pack it up everyone! That’s it! Internet has been won for the day!
He doesn't know how to use things that are old enough to have a period.
why could Epstein not type a sentence to save his life

the 50 year mortgage is a garbage solution that just perpetuates the actual problem. the concept is "since you don't have enough money, we just charge you more money" to help (lmao) you purchase a home

So they just went around Schumer and cut their own deal?

What good is a leader who isn’t leading?

Like him or not, McConnell would have mounted heads on pikes outside the Rayburn building if Senate Rs negotiated out of step with Harry Reed.

As an economist, I can safely say that the proper scientific term to describe the economic ideas in this column is "a pile of horseshit from people who live in a delusional alternate reality"

The fact idiots like Peter Navarro are governing the United States is an indictment of its political system
'The international trade system is broken — and Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariff doctrine will fix it,' writes Peter Navarro, President Trump’s senior counsellor for trade and manufacturing. www.ft.com/content/f313...
