A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

Imagine a world where these amazing journos could go start their own publication because they didn’t require a corporate overlord to provide their healthcare.
thank you for the outpouring of support!

those of us laid off from Teen Vogue yesterday are now sharing our GoFundMe to help us cover our emergency expenses now that we've lost our incomes, as we get back on our feet.

MORE OF THIS!! Please. It shouldn’t be this hard to push back on these narratives.
I love how Rep. Joe Neguse reframed this question.

I have approximately zero following on this app, sharing in the hopes it can get in front of the right person. A man I went to college with’s wife was kidnapped by ICE at a green card hearing, and he’s trying to find a reporter who will speak to him about the situation

This here is honestly the bigger story in this whole mess. While Disney and the FCC are getting deserved ire, Sinclair, a wolf in local news clothing, is more dangerous than any of the other right wing outlets because most consider them neutral. More need to discover the extreme bias they lead with.
1. Sinclair, which owns dozens of ABC affiliates, played a key role in forcing Jimmy Kimmel off the air.

Sinclair's "news desk" then produced a special on Charlie Kirk, which was supposed to air during Kimmel's time slot

It presents Kirk as a prophet
Sinclair "Special Report" depicts Kirk as prophet
"Many Americans are standing shoulder-to-shoulder, believing God is still working and opening the hearts of a new generation."

‘New York Man Plans Retirement by Announcing His Impending Move to Florida’ is not the Man Bites Dog headline the post seems to think it is.
Nice to see Cuomo finally being a team player and campaigning for Zohran

Remember when the orange guy said that all the attacks on him would just make him stronger? Let’s embrace that energy and help zohran get his power boost.

This is how movements start.

Among other things, I'm just so pissed that a country that once made winning WWII its whole personality is now building concentration camps

This, so much this. Screaming it from the rooftops.
Make no mistake:

Alligator Alcatraz IS a concentration camp, and they absolutely ARE planning genocide and ‘ethnic cleansing.’

As a white person, i don’t know what I can do to help, but if all I have is my voice, I will make sure it’s heard.

The irony of US media calling Iran a theocratic autocracy
Speaking at the Pentagon just now, Pete Hegseth said, “We give glory to God for his providence.” Sounds like typical rhetoric from Iran.

Let's talk about these two department store owners: brother and sister Louis Bamberger and Caroline Bamberger Fuld. From Newark, New Jersey.

They are random people, basically. But in the late 1920s, with fascism taking over Europe, they made a choice that profoundly changed the world: 🧵
