IMHO it's just so tunnel-visioned to act like "having a whole life with varied interests is just a distraction from what matters, which is politics." Politics is not an end in itself! People engage in politics and seek political power so they can have and enjoy a whole life!

Just as a PSA: needing a distraction is not the same thing as not caring about important issues. Things like sports get people through hard times and make their lives easier when they really really need it. You're not making the world a better place if you try to shame ppl for posting about them.
