I love this idea. My dad died when I was three and I had to figure out simple things like how to tie a tie and even shave on my own. Please retweet this because I know there are a lot of kids out there who could use some help with day to day life.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a Marsh Rabbit (Sylvilagus palustris) before but I'm immediately a big fan. Look at those tiny little ears! For a rabbit anyway.

Dear friends. I’ve done something different launching Legenda by targeting independent bookshops. I didn’t drive all sales to Amazon. So I’m relying on those of you that are reading it to share reviews & spread the word. I want this book to be supported by readers, not algorithms.

It’s a shame that this needs to be said again (and again). Good literary translations are hard work, and they are not algorithmically solvable or mappable. When I write both Dutch & English versions of a story, they tend to become different stories.
Good literary translation requires understanding (language, culture, genre--on both sides of the translation) and an ability to write well. "AI" can't do that. There are no shortcuts. Treat your work and foreign language readers with the respect they deserve. You won't fool anyone with this.
Amazon has launched a new AI-driven translation service, Kindle Translate, for Kindle Direct Publishing authors 👇 #BookSky

What’s the word for when your interest and focus is outward focused rather than inward? I can’t figure out how better to explain it so my googling is failing.

Volle Maan (14.19 uur).
