Reminds me of a microcar I've seen in Amsterdam. Also looking back at the past

Modding the former was (still is?) rampant under the wealthy people that could afford them. Designer brands that also exported to the US which could be set to US legal supported speeds with an app

These are technically pedal assist models. The throttle is not allowed on ebikes here, that would make them a moped or motorbike which falls under different legislation.

There is a racist component.

This model is often significantly cheaper than more classical pedal assist models. And more easily modded. In styling resembles the mopeds that are more tightly regulated (helmet, license, insurance), and were often modded as well.

So it's visibly popular with kids.

It might have helped we had a head start in the Netherlands, where the pre-euro we had already stopped using cent coins for cash payments in the early 80s if I read Wikipedia correctly.
It's very normal to me now, to the extend getting cents in change if for example Germany just feels wrong.

In the "we don't have coins for the smallest technical denomination" system I basically grew up in nice 1983, most of these won't be affected. It only affects cash payments, which are rounded to the closest 5 cents. All digital payments, interest etc still use cents.

It's ok, but have you ever seen Dutch toilet sinks? They're tiny and it's difficult to get a glass under there and fill it up.
Much easier to use the sink in the bathroom.

Or used to have. And no/low stock resellers never had adjusted their price.
But that's all guesswork on my side.

They could be cases where a sellar lists a book, doesn't own stock, but offers at a price for which they can buy it + markup. And only update when people show interest.

It's the best way to get a feeling for a new city. One of my favorite things to do when travelling.
