Backtracking on day 2. Amazing.
Just want to point out that the Bondi DOJ track record on high-profile, top-down, WH-driven cases so far is…not great.

Fuck Stephen Miller for many reasons but in this case for forcing me to hand to it Zapper
Stephen Miller goes on a rant defending Trump's imperialist aggression against Venezuela: "We’re a superpower… we are going to conduct ourselves as a superpower."

Jake Tapper: "I don't even know what you're talking about right now."

Why isn’t the Trump admin prioritizing transparency and accountability around sex trafficking of minors?
JUST IN: DOJ says it has finished reviewing *less than 1%* of the Epstein Files for potential release.

Only 12,285 documents have been released while more than 2 million remain under review.

> @governor.ca.gov Gavin Newsom has met with leaders on both sides of the aisle to get LA communities the federal relief they are owed as taxpayers.

WHERE IS TRUMP? He and his administration refuse to meet, turning their backs on Americans in need.

I had someone last week in my mentions talking about how we should gas the rurals and he literally said “utopia for my friends, for the rest nothing,” and wherever he believed himself to be coming from ideologically, there lay a fascist.
Something way more people need to internalize and help their friends understand is that the *only* politics and culture that you can reproduce using pile-ons, networked harassment, doxxing, death threats and the like is a fascist one. It doesn’t matter what you think your motivations or politics are

He’s 10x the budget of vegetation management

CA now has the largest civilian firefighting fleet in the world

We have communities’ backs in this recovery process while Trump has turned his back

Donald Trump hasn't personally done a damn thing — not even lifted a finger — to help LA move from recovery to long-term rebuilding.

And while he's cutting federal forest management and firefighting funds, I've doubled the size of @calfire.bsky.social and fast-tracked state efforts.

Trump’s illegal federalization of the Cal Guard took soldiers away from public safety efforts like taking on drug trafficking at the Southern Border and wildfire prevention efforts like “raking the forests”

Rather than assist fellow Americans, Trump is holding federal assistance hostage.

It’s simply un-American.

Donald Trump's takeover of the California National Guard was illegal, immoral, and waste of taxpayer dollars.

Over $100 million wasted to abuse his authority and fund his little power trip.

It's been nearly an entire year since the President promised federal disaster relief to the people of Los Angeles that he's never delivered.

What are you waiting for, Donald Trump?

The evidence is more than clear:

Suppressing voter turnout.
Vandalizing vote by mail.
Attempting to overturn an election defeat on January 6th.

Donald Trump does not believe in free and fair elections.

Donald Trump's reckless, inhumane immigration raids have destroyed communities and have had massive negative impacts on efforts to rebuild from the LA fires.

His actions have been disastrous across the board.

Nearly 1 year since the devastating LA firestorms and we’ve had the fastest debris removal in modern US history.

Ever since, communities have been eagerly awaiting the White House for the federal disaster relief they are rightfully owed as taxpayers as they seek to recovery and rebuild.

1 year ago, the largest winter pre-deployment in California history occurred ahead of the dangerous conditions that led up to the LA firestorms.

But it wasn’t enough, which is why independent investigations are underway to better responses.
