A year into RFK Jr.’s disastrous run at HHS, the results are exactly what we thought: instability, dangerous misinformation, and weakened public health.

I worked with @wyden.senate.gov on a 71-page report documenting the consequences of this chaotic year.

Accountability matters.

Turning Point USA is allegedly "purging" staffers, after Candace Owens's crazy theories about TPUSA's involvement in Charlie Kirk's murder started to catch on with their own employees.

I’m assuming this speech was written by Marco’s white nationalist staffer Darren Beattie, who was so much of a white nationalist that he got fired from a White House job during the first Trump administration. bsky.app/profile/seth...
Secretary of State Marco Rubio giving a speech that is basically an extended version of the ethnonationalist Proud Boys oath: “I'm a proud Western chauvinist, I refuse to apologize for creating the modern world.”
The Rubio speech really is appalling, and if you haven’t read it yet, you should.

Utterly unacceptable in a democracy. In a sane world, House Republicans would be drafting impeachment articles today and Senate Republicans would be preparing for a trial to convict and remove him from office

Raskin: What makes somebody a good lawyer?

You have to identify with the people who are the victims of injustice — not with their perpetrators.

So I would say to Pam Bondi: If you’re going to stand with the victimizers and not the victims, then you’re not a real lawyer.

Posts like this, ROYALLY fuckin irritate me. Like, I think the majority of these things should happen. AND the popularity of these things are VASTLY overestimated by people:

- Pew found only 58% of people think taxes for individuals over $400k should be raised. That number is 63% with businesses.

Yeah, the difficulty about the whole "He's going to sign an EO that cancels elections!" is that the Federal government doesn't actually.. run elections. All he can do is sign an order to the executive agencies to seek compliance from states and maybe do something if they don't. Maybe.
Repeat after me:
An executive order is not a royal edict; it is not law. It is a direction to the executive branch as to how to carry out the law.

Also:
Key parts of Trump's last EO on elections have been stopped by federal courts, ruling that the President has no role to play in federal elections
Trump’s follow up post says he’s going to issue an executive order on voter ID.

“If we can't get it through Congress, there are Legal reasons why this SCAM is not permitted. I will be presenting them shortly, in the form of an Executive Order.”

The SAVE Act and Trump’s weird EO threat today aren’t serious, they’re creating ways for Trump to save face after the GOP gets their asses kicked this year. It’s not that they lost because their policies are unpopular, the other guys stole it. It’s like blaming lag for being bad at video games.

The GOP is a party of rapists, by rapists, for rapists
The President, two of his current Cabinet secretaries, his former strategist, his biggest donor, and his pending Fed Chair nominee are all in the files of a pedophile who ran a sex trafficking ring, while the attorney general and a former Cabinet secretary let him get away with it.

Seems kinda bad?
At least half a dozen top Trump administration officials appear in the Jeffrey Epstein files
The degree to which each individual was connected to Epstein varies significantly, from a single email to years of communications.

Instead of defending universal human rights they folded to his siren song of blood & soil.
