As I begin my annual rewatching of “Frasier”, I have decided to address the longstanding questions about how he could afford his lavish lifestyle on the salary of a mid-day local radio call-in host.

Henceforth, the answer to any questions about how he paid for things is:

A lot of them support the outcome, even if they make performative complaints about how it went down.

The Iraq War was supported by about 1/3 of House Democrats in 2002 - imagine how many would've voted to retroactively rubber-stamp the invasion if they'd caught Hussein on day one.
it's kind of crazy that there's even any question that democrats are going to do anything about this

So… Democrats are trying out “kidnapping a single head of state is bad - you have to kidnap the WHOLE government to make it work” as their message.

If your government isn’t condemning the US in clear and unambiguous terms, then you live in a country that is just as captured by Trumpist mania as we are. Your officials are just as feckless and/or complicit as ours if all they do is mourn the death of norms.

Take to the streets and raise hell.

Got confused and thought this was Portland for a moment.

It’s only bad if SOMEONE ELSE is sending their military into the streets to intimidate and kidnap their citizens for standing too close to nervous men with guns.
Caracas: Military forces are randomly arresting civilians who are moving too close to key locations like the presidential palace or military installations.

Let’s not leave out the very real possibility that they’re concerned about reports that Venezuela sent its military into the US to establish infrastructure in Pawnee, Indiana during the Obama administration.

This is beyond madness.

It won’t happen, but the world should be aligning to wall us off and sanction us into oblivion. Nothing else has any hope of curtailing this kind of breathtaking criminality, but who will lead?

The EU? NATO? The IOC? FIFA?

Of course not.

We’re a rudderless species.
