If the Democrats were a sports franchise, everyone in charge would be fired and the team would be wrapping up plans to relocate to Fairfax, VA.
A timely reminder that NFL franchises have a higher bar for successful leadership than the Democratic Party
The Giants are firing coach Brian Daboll, sources say. A promising and frustrating season leads NYG to have an opening.
After another lead evaporated yesterday, Brian Daboll is out.
OC Mike Kafka is interim coach, per me and Mike Garafolo.

While taking down Halloween decorations today, I put on a bunch of Type O Negative and now I feel like we made a mistake by not taking Beefcake Jersey Trashman Goth more seriously when we had the chance.
There is something lovely about irony-free dipshittery like this.

The optimist in me is relieved, but the pessimist in me worries that these creeps are just waiting for a “better” case to use to undo Obergefell.
#BREAKING: Over no public dissents, #SCOTUS denies Kim Davis's petition asking the justices to overturn Obergefell v. Hodges (which recognized federal constitutional protections for same-sex marriage):

It’s been more than ten years since he was in something (on screen) that was good AND not just a return to a character he’s played for decades.
I hope he still does stage work, though.

My latest at @comicsjournal.bsky.social: I talked to @oglaf.bsky.social! Not the character, but rather, the people who create it.
They don't do many interviews, so this was a real treat. They're funny people! Turns out they're not super private, just...really bad at PR?

Talking Oglaf with Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne: 'We'd stay up all night drawing stuff to make each other laugh' - The Comics Journal
Other than some time off every year for Christmas, Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne have delivered a new Oglaf comic, skewering fantasy tropes with absolutely not safe for work humor, every week since 2008...

The look that jolted tens of millions is not a costume whipped up for a museum trip. Pedro began dressing this way less than a year ago, inspired by 20th-century history and black & white images of suited statesmen and fictional detectives.

Once again, I am thinking about the Morris Day-narrated documentary about '80s WWF wrestler Koko B. Ware that sits in Prince's vault, unreleased and taunting us all.

We just returned from seeing @realgdt.bsky.social’s “Frankenstein”. I sobbed through half of this beautiful, horrific, and overwhelmingly humane film.
Of its many miracles, the one I was most grateful for was the constant feeling that it had briefly but intensely returned Bernie Wrightson to us.
