I was at work during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot & did not know anything happened till I was riding the metro home. Seeing right wingers with signs was nothing new but finding out what happened made me kind of scared of these people. I didn’t go in Jan. 7 because I didn’t know who I’d be riding with.

I don’t like these articles saying “we” were soft and complacent after Jan. 6. It’s reminiscent of “everyone thought Saddam had WMDs” in that it tries to share recrimination evenly when many of us were shouting to the rafters in both cases.

I ranked every 2025 release I watched in 2025. If you see something you thought was great lower than you think it should be it just means I enjoyed/was moved by/felt a closer emotional kinship to whatever is ranked above it. I fussed over it a lot but was pencils down on January 1st.
