In case you missed it: My suggestion that Farage was whispering to Trump behind the scenes while Trump was going after Greenland has been essentially confirmed.

As @jamesdaustin.bsky.social notes: Working against your country's interest with a semi-hostile state - there's a word for that.

In one classic yarn, he outsmarts pursuing hunters by disguising himself as a priest and slipping into a church, using quick wit & sly deception to vanish right under their noses.

1. At Stamford Bridge (1066), King Harald's brother fought with the Danes. 2. Before the Armada, Phillip II of Spain had already been English King. 3. Before 1918, only property-owners could vote. 4. British troops fought communists in Russia after WWI til 1920. 5. UK income equality peaked in 1979.
Here’s a fun top five: things that are consensus among historians but are essentially unknown by the public. Richard I, a bad king of England. Roman Empire, fell in 1453. Paul, more important than Jesus. Witch burning, a modern phenomenon not a medieval one. Britain last invaded in 1688. Yours?
As someone who wrote a dissertation on that damnable Frenchman; one can only hope.

Look out UK! History repeating here ...
A 2022 study found that most journalists (51.7%) were independent. Those identifying as Republican fell from 18% percent in 2002 to 3.4% in 2022. Again, not a leftist plot. My theory: Fact-based people were put off by GOP lies. (If you don't think Republicans lie a lot, I can’t help you.) 5/10 🧵
