Yesterday, we met Ministers @jessphillipsmp.bsky.social & @alexdaviesjones.bsky.social to discuss Banaz’s Law - making ‘honour’-based abuse an aggravating factor with statutory guidance.

We were encouraged by their support to improve agencies’ responses & drive normative change in communities. 1/2

Ex-police David Carrick has been convicted of further crimes, such as rape & sexual assault, incl. against a girl when she was 12-y.o.

He exploited women's insecure status. The govt must put safety over status, create a full firewall & support all migrant women.
