Good morning readers; Kyiv remains in Ukrainian hands.

In the towns near Ukraine's frontline, Russian FPV drones hunt civilians, a new tactic called a "human safari".

Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Belarus are the most disadvantaged victims.

Michaela Collord argues that CCM, Tanzania’s dominant ruling party, is facing a “triple legitimacy crisis”: failing to provide meaningful electoral competition, intraparty renewal, or an inclusive economic settlement.

This sounds like Justice Jackson is being tactical by issuing the brief admin stay to try to get SNAP moving again once the 1st Cir rules, rather than risk having all SCOTUS issue a longer stay pending full SCOTUS adjudication. There’ll be a better record to push back on that after 1st Cir. rules.
#BREAKING: Justice Jackson has issued an "administrative" stay, temporarily pausing a district court order that would've required the USDA to continue using contingency funds to pay SNAP benefits.

The stay expires 48 hours after the First Circuit rules on USDA's request for a stay pending appeal.

The @apnews.com confirms: the "boat strikes" are the equivalent of straight-up massacring 16-year-old drug dealers on US street corners.

It satisfies some people's anger or bloodlust, but hitting the poorest and most replaceable links in the trafficking chain does nothing to affect drug supplies.
The Trump administration alleges the boats targeted by recent U.S. strikes were being operated by narco-terrorists and cartel members. The AP identified four of the men who were on the boats—and found the truth is far more nuanced.
Trump has accused boat crews of being narco-terrorists. The truth, AP found, is more nuanced

Democrats won Georgia’s statewide elections by landslide margins larger than any other Democratic victory for any statewide office since 1998.

They even exceeded conservative Dem Zell Miller’s blowout win in the (nonpartisan) 2000 Senate race
The fact that Democrats won both elections yesterday for the Georgia Public Service Commission is remarkable enough (no Democrat had won a non-federal statewide race in GA since 2006).

But both won by a margin of 63% to 37%. In Georgia.
