This Yglesias piece in the NYT is horrifically bad. Almost every "fact" it cites is provably false. At best it is cocktail party banter from a pundit who knows nothing of energy. At worst, it was cut/paste from oil industry talking points. So, a rebuttal: www.nytimes.com/2025/12/18/o...

At least 3,800 immigrant children were detained in 2025. Now, kids are not supposed to be kept more than 20 days

At least 1,300 of them have been held longer than 20 days-some for over 4 months

Amazon workers in Quebec unionized, so Amazon closed all their fulfillment centres in the province.

7 centres shut down. Almost 2,000 people out of work.

This is a massive violation of labour rights.

It’s also an excellent reason to boycott Amazon.

Does Witkoff recording make it clearer that Russia has colonized US policy?

Dismantling USAID, disbanding cybercrimes & Russian influence investigations, trashing foreign alliances: all top of mind for a *Russian* policy wishlist.

Making us poorer, sicker & dumber also appreciated.
