There’s just something so repulsive and patronising about the people who’ve been running the country (directly or indirectly) for the past 10 years now queuing up to tell us everything is shit and only they can fix.

Fuck all the way off!

Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.

I am not an expert is international diplomacy, by any stretch, but the current argument sweeping Bsky, that "the UK gov't must demonstrate it recognises just how aggressive, dangerous, and unpredictable Trump's US has become, by poking Trump publicly in the eye" is not entirely rational.

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

Keir Starmer genuinely does not seem to be aware that he has a 400+ seat majority in parliament. You can pass anything you like with that many seats. Fucking do something.

I have to say I think it was a mistake putting Barry White in charge of CBS News. Great singer but he’s no journalist, and he’s been dead for 20 years

Why not just bin the rulebook for everyone?

Staggering - the effort and resource *still* being invested in keeping the Brexit shitshow on the road.
No one’s held to account.
No one’s fallen on their sword.
No one’s got the guts to really speak out.
So, on we go, protecting this huge and ruinous lie, because telling the truth is too difficult.
"The 2016 decision to exit the European Union has been nothing short of an economic disaster... It’s a bigger hit than if every bank, brokerage firm and hedge fund in London were suddenly to disappear." ~AA
👏🏽"The President and the Brexiteers share a fear of strangers... Trade, in [Trump's] view, is other countries draining our wallets. Immigration is other people stealing our jobs. International treaties are handcuffs limiting sovereignty." 🎯~AA

If we had realised how cheap it was to bribe UKIP politicians, we could probably have raised enough money to get them to stop Brexit.

I'm really pleased that the accusations against Farage are quite rightly not going away. He appears very, very rattled and deservedly so.

This is very long overdue.

Brazil’s former Dictator Bolsonaro will begin serving his 27 year prison sentence for plotting a coup in his country.

If only Merrick Garland had gotten the job done when we had the chance and sent the orange felon and his insurrectionists to jail where they belong. Scumbag.

Watched BBC 6 o clock news. Just a completely unserious broadcast. Chris Mason, acting like a children's entertainer, giving a prolonged impenetrable editorial. Not a whiff of informative content about the Budget or what it means for the country. Just playschool blah blah bollocks.

Nearly 10 years after the referendum and 5 since Brexit took effect and now and only now are people who voted for Brexit all starting to realise it was a really stupid path to follow. Everyone is poorer. Question is when are politicians going be honest and start the reversal?

Brexit was Russian foreign policy. It's well documented.
If our government can't investigate a decade of pain inflicted on our country because of a hostile foreign operation then what is the point of them?

Millionaires and billionaires who leave the UK because they might be asked to pay a bit more tax when the country is in a crisis largely of their making are not patriots. They are greedy, selfish cunts.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Nigel Farage has spent £1m taking out adverts in the papers to distract from the Nathan Gill Russian bribe scandal.

We can't let him buy himself out of this. We need an investigation into Russian influence in our politics.

And the next time you have Farage on, please ask him directly:

…what were the motivations behind this?

Restrictions on weapons and the army should be imposed on the aggressor.
The aggressor is Russia.
The attacker is Russia.
The one posing a danger is Russia.
To me, the current situation is very similar to February 2025: pressure, rigid deadlines, ultimatums for Ukraine as a "plan to end the war."

If we look at the 28 point plan that appeared in the media as a whole, it shows very clearly who's paying and who's collecting dividends.
