Just a guy making a living from selling really good wines to likeminded people.

Since Brexit became a reality & the transition started (which still hasn’t finished) every stage has been a shit show. Government has been under prepared at each change & more barriers to trade imposed on imports and exports. The right wing press doesn’t write about it because it doesn’t suit them.
If convicted criminal Trump wants to sue the BBC for what they have done, then all Californian wine producers should sue Trump for what he is doing to their export businesses.

It’s very clear to those that take a step back and analyse this situation that the right wing mechanism has found a stick to beat a broadcaster that controls a large section of the UK narrative. Clearly the right wing want more control and having independent media is not in their interest.
I’ve written to Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage urging them to condemn Donald Trump’s attack on the BBC.
The BBC belongs to Britain, not Trump. We must defend it together.

I see the hard right extremist, the torigraph and Trump all joined forces with liar Johnson. Yet again the wrong outcome for both sides of the Atlantic but is does demonstrate nicely neither the UK or The USA really have free speech…

If you’re living in South Wales or West Wales get along to this event next weekend. Why? Because it’s taking place in Wales best food pub as awarded last week and the wines on show are simply incredible. It’s a sure way to have an excellent experience!

Farage is a man of very little of anything, bar BS. This is a guy whose business (literally) is to ween as much as possible from state funds and extremists. He cares not of how, where or what the repercussions are of his greed.

I must say the FX market is quite bizarre. Currently the US is melt down. Millions of government workers can’t pay their bills, US wine abroad is falling on its arse & if this shut down continues it could be another 2008 crash.
Yet the dollar is gaining strength against other mainstream currencies.

Just 8 weeks to Xmas, but what will you be drinking? I’ve spent much of this year making sure we have an unrivalled selection to offer. We have sourced wines from some of the best producers in the world and these are being placed with the best wine stores in the UK nationally.

Interesting to a government minister said today he does know how anyone is going to turn the UK round. Well maybe start with removing all the self inflicted barriers to trade, then Brexit and after that allow businesses to prosper rather then tax them to death…

For those that have followed me from Twitter you will recall I put out many threads on the lunacy of the plan by Rishi Sunak to make the excise tax system for Alc be based on the strength rather than volume. This subtle change was devastating for the wine industry with yet more UK Brexit red tape.

This week we launch 6 new wines into the Waitrose Cellar range. 5 wines from Cote Dor and one Red from Languedoc. The two whites are from Burgundy world famous Cotes de Beaune and three red which come from the Cotes de Nuits. My personal favourite is the Bony Gachot Nuits St George Pinot Noir.
