Since taking office, Trump has canceled or halted enforcement actions against 166 corporations accused of illegal conduct.

At least a third of those companies have close ties to his administration, including over 30 that have donated to Trump's ballroom.

If you look at all the latest the ICE videos and recruitment imagery, it's clear they are attempting to recruit people for a campaign of redemptive fascist violence.
Yes. ICE service is being sold to disaffected MAGA goons as an opportunity to wage a campaign of cleansing, restorative violence against Americans as an act of patriotic national service. And most normies now see that this isn't anything akin to real law enforcement.

One more thing about the Machado/Peace Prize thing: Imagine if he'd just had the tiny modicum of grace it would have taken to say no. He'd still get to trumpet how the winner wanted him to have the prize, but he could have been the bigger person and granted her respect in return! But he couldn't!

"Lots of people enjoy watching helpless, marginalized populations being ritually persecuted & humiliated."

Two ways you can go with this. Either you can redefine that behavior as non-shitty -- just another choice among others -- or you can accept that Trump is a phenomenon of shitty people.

Just so people outside of MN know - a lot of the US citizens getting “arrested” by ICE never get processed at Whipple. They are roughed up during the arrest and then often dropped off miles from where they were picked up. It means we don’t know the true scale of what ICE is doing based on ICE stats

US government's policy toward the Big 3 automakers—encouraging them to invest in massive, US-only SUVs & trucks, now encouraging them to underinvest in EVs—has reinforced their global irrelevance.

Ford sold 33% fewer vehicles worldwide in 2024 than 2015! GM sold 40% fewer vehicles!

US higher education was a crown jewel, generating knowledge, wealth, prestige, and power unrivaled by anyone.

And the US is throwing it away, because Americans elected a govt ideologically opposed to truth, science, merit, and racial/gender equality, preferring to weaken the country to reduce that.

This is where it is going. This is what Stephen Miller is pushing to Trump. The only reason it has not happened yet is that the violence is obviously coming from state actors. There is no insurrection to control. But we are one incident away from Trump sending in the military.

Second, the irony of masked agents of the state with no name plates demanding *other* people identify themselves?
