Great piece, Dan. I can confirm: Over the years, this has indeed been a longstanding problem. I've helped fund numerous projects over the years trying to address handwriting recognition and it is exciting to see what we can do today.

Sure he may be handing out pardons if people give him enough money, shilling his own cryptocurrency, still own his golf courses and hotels he throws events at, and generally enriching himself and everyone in his administration, but that doesn’t mean we can say he’s corrupt.
Does the BBC think it's improper for a speaker to state their opinion that Donald Trump is the most openly corrupt president in American history?

Because I think almost all historians would readily agree that Donald Trump is the most openly corrupt president in American history.
BBC censors a lecture removing author’s remarks on Trump that refer to him a the most openly corrupt American president.

#murderbot #murderbotappletv I just rewatched the second half of Season 1 of MurderBot. It's an excellent adaptation. I've read the books multiple times. I wondered how the TV series could convey his interior life. They did a great job. It's nice to love the books and then not be disappointed.

Wrecking the system is a tactic for the larger strategy of making immigration look dangerous and out of control
Apropos of this crap, a good friend who has been an immigration judge for years just got unceremoniously fired by email — another victim of the ongoing purges of those who believe in due process.

I am furious. Years of civil service ended by people who hate that an immigrant might win a case.
After renaming immigration judges as "deportation judges" (not what they're called by law), DHS, which acts as the prosecutor in immigration cases, is falsely claiming that people could do the job part-time "after hours"; except no, immigration courts are only open during the daytime.
