The deep goal of bluesky is to decentralize the social internet so that every individual controls their experience of it rather than having it be controlled by 5 random billionaires. Everyone thinks they signed up for a demuskified twitter...we actually signed an exciting and bizarre experiment.

History has proven me correct
A potential partner must have the correct level of enthusiasm about the Muppets. Too little and their hearts are devoid of joy. Too much and they are into an extreme kink so disgusting only a theatre kid could imagine it.

Election results aren't that bad. Far right absolutely routed. SF warned (while avoiding huge seat losses) that right wing populism is not a vote winner. Labour partially recovered, but deliciously deprived of opportunity to go into coalition. PbP more-or-less "as was," despite intense targeting...

When I was 20 it was easy to believe that the problem was that those in power were old and out of touch.

Now I’m much older, many politicians are from my own age cohort and most problems remain the same or got worse.

Hoping for the bad ones to eventually retire and die off doesn’t work.

I hate how my body temperature can communicate how tired I am better than my brain. My ability to maintain homeostasis breaks down and I start shivering uncontrollably so hard my teeth chatter in 70F rooms and it makes me feel like a moron.

funny to see everyone discovering Kushner senior right now, I personally became briefly but very intensely hyperfixated on Jared Kushner in 2016 because I did Not get his deal, so I read around 60,000 words' worth of pieces on him and his family in like a week, we are not the same
